What we store
We store your email address, optional freelancer profile and voice samples, job briefs, generated drafts, saved edits, and usage records. Before sign-in, pasted input is saved in local storage in your browser. Clear your input on a shared device.
How your data is used
Your profile, relevant writing samples, and pasted text are sent to Google Gemini to generate or edit drafts, or Groq when Gemini is unavailable. We use Resend to deliver sign-in emails, PostgreSQL to store account data, and Contra to process subscriptions. These providers process data under their own applicable policies. We do not sell your personal data.
Early access currently uses Google Gemini’s free API tier. Google may use submitted inputs and generated outputs for product improvement, and human reviewers may read and process them. Do not submit personal information, confidential briefs, client secrets, or private writing samples. We omit your profile name and profile links from AI requests during free-tier early access. The remaining profile fields, brief, and prior draft when revising are sent to the selected writing provider.
Live AI early access is limited to adults in the United States. You must acknowledge the data notice before sending content to AI. The app rejects obvious email addresses and formatted phone numbers, but cannot reliably detect all personal or confidential information. Remove it yourself. Buying Starter or Pro does not change Google’s data-processing tier. Read Google’s free-service data terms.
If we switch to Google’s paid API tier, its paid-service data termsexclude product-improvement use, but still allow limited retention for abuse prevention and legal requirements. We will update this notice when that change happens.
Product help
Product-help questions are sent to Groq with public product documentation. We do not store these questions or answers in the application database. We store request counters to limit abuse. The help assistant cannot access your private account data.
Groq also receives writing inputs when Gemini is unavailable. Groq’s published default is not to retain inference content, with exceptions for reliability and abuse investigations; such logs can be retained for up to 30 days unless legally required longer. We do not claim that account-specific Zero Data Retention has been enabled. Read Groq’s data practices.
Payments and cookies
Contra handles payment details. We store submitted payment references, confirmed billing periods, plan, amount, and a confirmation audit, plus subscription status, not full card numbers. Essential session cookies keep you signed in. Theme preferences and unfinished brief input are stored in your browser.
Retention and deletion
You can delete individual drafts or delete your account in account settings. Cancel recurring payments in Contra separately. Account deletion does not cancel that subscription; it removes your account, profile, drafts, sessions, and generation usage records. Payment records needed for accounting or disputes may remain with us and our payment provider. Provider backups may retain data for their normal retention periods.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, copy or export your drafts, or request access, correction, or deletion by emailing us. Only paste information you are permitted to share. Avoid sensitive personal information or client secrets.
